4. More than three years as Medical Officer I/c at a Primary health centre, responsible for implementation and management of various national programmes over large areas with limited resources and providing primary and secondary health care..
5. Completed my post graduation in Pathology & Transfusion medicine at R.N.T.Med. College, Udaipur.
Medical Life Synopsis-
1 After M.B.B.S in 1996 from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune and internship at Dr. SN Medical college and assoc. group of Hospitals I worked at various specialty hospitals in New Delhi and Jodhpur and gained valuable clinical experience in emergency medicine, casualty, General Medicine, Intensive care, Anesthesia, Rehabilitation Medicine and Surgery.
2 Trained as a House surgeon in Surgery department in 1998-1999 at Railway Hospital-Jodhpur for two terms. Job responsibilities included routine post op, and pre op workup of patients, O.P.D. and casualty duties.
3 Medical officer in Rajasthan Public service commission since December 1999.
Spent more than three years in charge of Public Health delivery and Management of
Public health services at Balesar near Jodhpur District. Primary responsibility included implementation of all National health Programmes and collection of Health statistics, providing medical care and taking care of health requirements of a population of approx. 28,000.
• Then, before joining for post graduation in Pathology at Udaipur, I undertook approx. seven months of training at Rehabilitation research centre, Jaipur during 2003.
Joined for post graduation in pathology at the govt. institute at Udaipur in June 2004.
My field of specialization includes Diagnostic Pathology, immunohematology, laboratory medicine and transfusion medicine.
I have finished my rotation in histopathology, cytology, hematology, Blood bank and autopsy. In the blood bank, I am well versed with all blood donation procedures, matching/cross matching, blood component preparation and ELISA testing of donated blood. My responsibilities included teaching undergraduate students (using PowerPoint presentations for most of my lectures).
Special Note-
• I have attended several national and state level medical conferences at Delhi, Jaipur, Bombay, Kota, Udaipur etc. I have had my poster presentations at 2 pathology conferences (Jaipur and Kota) and have presented a case report on Gastric Teratomas at Jodhpur. The last mentioned paper has also been indexed by PUBMED. The Last conference attended by me is Meditel”2006 at Kochi, Kerala in December 2006.
• Presented a paper on “The Discovery and evolution of Health rights- The Indian scenario” at a State level post graduate students paper presentation competition.
• I have good communication skills and fluency in the English language. .I am on the panel of a few medical content websites like www.chillibreeze.com.
• I have experience of managing large teams and Big projects, before and during my state govt. service period (e.g. Initiating and implementing National control Programmes like DOTS and Polio Immunization Weeks, Formation of Fast response teams during epidemics, Monthly reviewing and monitoring of work done in my sector by my team of 22 key people and around a hundred subordinate grass root workers).
• I have attended a number of state sponsored training like Malaria control training, Blood bank procedures and components training, Medical officers induction training, Family planning training, Telemedicine workshop, Revised T.B. control programme e.t.c
